Royal Family Kids' Camp of Lakewood, CA  is part of a nationwide network of camps for abused and abandoned children (Royal Family Kids' Camps, Inc.).  Each camp organizes a Christian summer camp experience for  boys and girls experiencing deep heartaches. In 2009, more than 180 camps in 40 states and 5 foreign countries will impact nearly 7,000 young campers. For one week each summer we create a fun, inspirational and life-changing outdoor camping experience.

Caring counselors and surrogate “aunts and uncles”, “grandpas and grandmas” show them what it feels like to belong to a loving family. The children spend time just being kids - playing fun games and taking part in group activities like fishing, art and swimming.

They have a birthday party - a time of cake, a carnival, and presents - to celebrate each and every child’s special day. They are constantly affirmed through compassionate care and love.

This year's camp will be held the week of
July 6-10, 2009.

Royal Family Kids' Camp, Lakewood is sponsored by Life Center Church and each year our camp has built upon the previous one. It is a camp especially designed with the foster child in mind.  A Christian atmosphere and a camper-counselor ratio of 2:1 provides the opportunity for success and a week that will never be forgotten by camper or counselor.

Early one morning, a man who was staying nearby was out jogging along the shore. He came upon a young boy frantically trying to save starfish, which had washed up on the sun-baked beach, by throwing them back into the ocean.
The curious jogger stopped and asked the boy, "I see what you're doing, but do you really think it will make any difference? The boy paused for a brief moment and replied, "I don't know mister, but I think it will make a difference to this one".

With your help we are making a difference one child at a time!

We invite you to be a part of RFKC as a counselor or staff person to these young children. By doing this you are giving a gift of renewed life to a child who otherwise has very little hope.  If you are interested in helping, please print and fill out the application form and return them to:
